Gingerbread Houses!

So on Tuesday all the Monroes plus a few friends got together to make gingerbread houses!! We had so much fun! All the houses turned out sooo cute, ok some better than others! Braden's friend Jeremy came and built a ski lodge, we all decided he is not allowed to come next year!

SO this year Lindsay made a kit...I think thats how Im going to do it next year, I like the decorating part..not so much the building part!

Ryans...his reminded me of Merlins home in Sword in the stone!

Ha Braden won for most frosting used!

Everyone said mine looked like a space ship...I don't think so maybe more like an adobe house! I had the best fence! I liked Britts, she usually goes all out but she wasn't feeling that great this year.

Last but certainly not least, Bobs, he won for getting done the quickest! SO much fun guys...Im going to win next year!

Let it Rain, Let it Rain, Let it Rain!!

So this weekend and week have been COLD!!!! So this weekend Ryan and I were so cold we thought it would be fun to start up the old fire place!! It was so Fun and warm!! I didn't think it was ever going to get cool enough this winter!! So after sitting in front of the fire place with my peppermint hot chocolate and sweatshirt...it finally feels like Christmas!

Tradition Dinner

So once a month on Friday sometimes Saturday all the "Monroes" get together and have dinner. THe point of it is to get together see everyone and try something new. The get together is self explanitory but the try something new is every month a different person gets to pick and it has to be a resturant that nobody (or maybe 1 person) has been too, thus something new! WEll this month is was Ryans turn to pick...everybody is trying to save there pennies so we can buy Christmas gifts....so we had BYOD (bring your own dinner!) at my house this month! It was so much fun!! We all ate KFC, yes it wasnt something new, then we had a Christmas thought (thanks mom!) then we played DVD clue, I won!!! (thanks Ryan!) then we played Killer bunnies...yay Linny!!! It was a good time!!! Yes even though technically Erin and Jeramy aren't Monroes they were for that evening! They came with the house!!! Plus it was fun having them there but they ditched out early so they could go to a play!! Thanks everybody Tradition dinner was fun as usual...heres some fun pics of it. (yes mainly of Tate, but hes so cute!!!)

I just wanted to tell everybody Happy Thanks giving!! I hope everybody has a great day with lots of yummy food!! Im going to start my baking early..today!! Im going to make a cake (Iknow not pie, but Tarwaters prefer cake!) and Im making a peanut parfait, pumpkin muffins and then tomorrow the real cooking and baking start, its just a warm up today!! Holiday Boutiques!!

I love the Holidays, bc of Family and Thanksgiving, no work, Christmas Lights and Christmas baking and who can forget Christmas shopping!!! I love shopping, especially for presents for other people!! Its my favorite thing!! So this weekend I went to this Holiday Boutique called the Kandy Kane Castle boutique!! I love shopping at boutiques! There are so many coming up, I plan on hitting all of them!! Whos with me!?!! I bought the cutest wall hanging tile and could have spent alot more but I have alot more boutiques to hit and alot of days before Christmas!

Kandy Kane Castle is going on again this weekend, THursday, Friday, and Saturday. Its in East Mesa! The next one that I am really excited about is the Holiday Magic Boutique! It is November 30th and December 2nd in Gilbert!! They have everything!! Then there is the Briar Patch Marketplace, they move there location everytime, there next one is in Scottsdale right after Thanksgiving, but Ill be going to The one at Mesquite High school on December 8! Plus we can't forget Rustic Hutch, its always there, but they brought out there Christmas stuff!! Its one of my favorites, I want one of everything!! Im going to love shopping for gifts this year!!!

1. Although HGTV is good...its not as good as The Food Network. I love love love watching the food network. Shows like Throw down with Bobby Flay and Ace of Cakes and Unwrapped. So much fun and yummy!!!!!

2. Im obsessed with the color purple! Ask anyone who was at my wedding!!! I can't get enough its been my favorite color since I was a little girl and my grandma used to make me purple cakes!!!

3. Brittany has a hammer toe...I have one leg 1/2 inch shorter than the other so yes I am limping but I can't help it!

4. When I go out to eat at resturants I don't like it when they put lemon in my water...gross!

5. A few years ago I rolled my moms jeep and to this day I hate turning in big cars because I think that I am going to roll over. My husband trys to help me get over this by riding in his van...it only makes it worse!!!. I think Ill stick to my little car!

6. I can't just sit on Sundays...its such a traditon for me to bake desserts that I can't sit too long bc I need to be in the kitchen baking something!!!!

TATE!!!!!

Tate and Linny came over Friday morning to hang out with Erin, Ryan and I! We had so much fun! Ryan shared all his toys and us girls talked. Then Tate and I went on a walk and he found lots of fun rocks, which he loves and saw a puppy!! It was so much fun! Then Tate and I jumped on the tramp, I did most of the jumping and Tate just laughed!! It was a fun Friday morning and Tate is so cute with his haircut I just had to blog about him!! Thanks Linny for bringing him over!!

Udder Delights!

After the great carving event we all went to the Grand opening of Udder delights on Val Vista and Warner (sw side by Auto Zone) It was yummy! Braden is the new General Manager so we went to harass him!! He did such an awesome job! Way to go Brady the icecream was great! P.S Everyone should go and checkit out!

Halloween Fun!

What a fun day!! We ate pizza and carved pumpkins! Lindsay and Bob had Tate dress up in his costume!!! I think he was the hit of the party!!! Everyone did such a good job on there carving. Thanks everybody for coming!!!

Black Pumps!

Ok so you know what every girl in life needs....besides a maid and a cook and a million dollars!?!

...because even without someone waiting on you hand a foot, these can and will make you happy!

....cute...and sexy....not to tall....not to short...and sensible...black pumps. Not just any shoe...but a fashion must have!!!

They go with everything..dresses...jeans...skirts...casual...fancy...anything!!

So I know Erin told you all about are shopping day on Saturday but I don't think she conveyed enough the magnitude of this buy. They were black pumps for less that ten dollars!!! If you don't have any...you MUST go and get some!!! (Tell your husband that its a must buy!!!)

Make up vs. No Make up

Ok I know these are not the best pics but to tell you my story I had to have some evidence! So last saturday I was kindof lazy and didn't want to wear any makeup. I just got out of the shower and decided..none today. So that night Ryan tells me its the prettiest I've ever been and hes never seen me so beautiful...all this stuff that sounded good, but obviously it can't be true! So like any normal couple we bet that I couldn't go a whole week without wearing makeup.
Well I did it Monday and Tuesday...but when I woke up on Wednesday Im thinking to myself...what are you doing you can't go one more day without makeup!!! So needless to say I lost. But really I won, bc with a husband like that who needs makeup!!

p.s isn't the one with no makeup hideous!?

Ok I know Britt and Granny have already posted pics from New Port...but thats all I have to post about for the week so I am going to also!!! IT was a fun trip, the swap meet...I got lots of cute stuff and hanging on the beach (so relaxing!) riding down the board walk on beach cruisers and rollerblades..so much fun!! Stopping for frozen yogurt! THe games, the food, the laughing...was a great time! Knotts Scary Farm was the best! That scary guy in the beginning who I thought was Ryan and he was breathing on my neck!!! I could still smack Britt and Ryan for not telling me he was there!
